EN // The program of the WS concerns the re-design of Piazzale Roma: the entrance to Venice from West. The two main themes, “Venice” and “the Western Gate”, will have for common denominator the third theme: “Experience.” The latter will be developed in five lessons, as scheduled. In addition, as a contribution to the three design themes, at the beginning of each of the three weeks of the WS, a musical work of the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt will be heard.

IT // Il programma del WS riguarda la riprogettazione di Piazzale Roma: l’ingresso da occidente. I due temi principali, “Venezia” e “la Porta Occidentale”, avranno per denominatore comune un terzo tema: “l’Esperienza”. Quest’ultimo verrà elaborato in cinque lezioni, come da programma. Inoltre, a contributo dei tre temi progettuali, all’inizio di ciascuna delle tre settimane del laboratorio verrà ascoltata un opera musicale del compositore estone Arvo Pärt.
